Silver Grove

Northern Kentucky Area

Silver Grove lies along Route 8, which parallels the Ohio River. The flavor is very rural as the town is surrounded by agricultural land. Homes vary from modest to large. Farms have been divided and this has encouraged growth in the areas. There are 1,300 residents in this city.

Silver Grove was established as a railroad town in 1911 for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway. At the time, it was very modern with electric lights, a modern fire department and water and sewer systems. The city now has a small-town feel to it while just minutes from many big city activities.
