Russells Point is a village in northwest Logan County, Ohio. With a population of 1,320, it is located on Indian Lake – a popular resort destination.
Russells Point is named after James Russell, the owner of the town’s site. The village has its own radio station, WRPO (93.5 FM).
Located in a tranquil setting, the 5,800-acre lake at Indian Lake boasts all kinds of resort activities from boating, fishing, water skiing, tubing, swimming, ice fishing and hiking. Residents enjoy picnic facilities, parks, playgrounds and beaches. The lake-living experience includes waterfront dining, live entertainment along with exploration of the walking/biking paths and nature preserves. In the winter, residents can ice fish, snow mobile and enjoy ice boating. With many inlets and bays, and over 30 miles of shoreline, there are many breathtaking views to enjoy throughout this community.

Transportation
Russells Point is near U.S. Route 33. State Routes 366 and 708 are close to the village. U.S. Route 720 is located at the northwest side of the village. It is north of Bellefontaine. I-75 is the closet interstate. Both Columbus and Dayton are approximately a 75-minute drive. Dayton International Airport is a 50-mile drive.
Hospitals
There are various medical centers and clinics available in Russells Point. Lima Health System Indian Lake Center is in Russells Point, offering primary care. Mary Rutan Indian Lake Clinic is also in Russells Pointe with general surgery and specialty medical services from its 10,000 square foot facility. The Mary Rutan Health Hospital is in Bellefontaine with various medical services.
Shopping
There are several local restaurants and pubs to try in addition to national brand fast-food places. The Landing Tavern has all kinds of meal options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Woody’s Diner is a sports themed establishment with pub-style food.
There are three markets for grocery shopping. You’ll also find boutiques to browse through and shop at Indian Lake. There are two hunting and fishing stores for those in need of gear. If you are searching for a boat, golf cart, auto or RV, there are businesses available at the lake.
Recreation
The village has ballfields, a nature trail as well as playground and pickleball courts (at the Municipal Building.) A community garden and picnic area are located on Bristol Circle. The community is raising money for a splash pad.
Water sports are popular among residents. As part of Indian Lake, there are many options for water enthusiasts. Rent jet skis or a boat! Indian Lake is also the place to fish! Find bluegills, yellow perch and bass. There are tackle and bait stores to stock you up for a fine day of fishing.
