Wayne Township

Wayne Township, Warren County, Ohio is named for General “Mad” Anthony Wayne, and is one of 20 Wayne Townships in Ohio.

A mostly rural township located in the northeast part of Warren County, it includes the Village of Waynesville, Caesar Creek State Park, Caesar Creek Wilderness Area, and part of the Little Miami River and Little Miami Bike Trail. The Village of Waynesville is noted for its antiques (the “Antique Capital of the Midwest”) and annual Sauerkraut Festival. Another point of interest located just south of Waynesville is the Corwin M. Nixon covered bridge, spanning the Little Miami River.
